[1] I couldn't find this kanji -- 燈 -- in any dictionary, but it was romanized (on the official site) as "tomoshibi". When I looked up the romaji, I got "lamp", "light", etc...so I asked Xcomp about the kanji. Here's what he basically said:

"燈 is the "traditional kanji" (AKA "kyuuji") for 灯, which means "light" or "lantern". That's why you can't find the character. Most of the dictionaries these days only record all the new Japanese simplified, modern versions."
