Albums (Page 6)
Please choose an album below. I've numbered all the official albums like this: (#1). The remaining albums are compilations/remixes of previously released songs. New albums are always displayed on the first page.
There are two ways you can sample the songs:
1) HTML: This is the original way I had it set up, where you'll have to manually download and listen to each file. Also,
if you hover over the links, you'll see the kanji title of each song.
2) Flash Player: This flash player will let you listen to each sample in REAL TIME. (^^) Occasionally you can choose between different playlists
(especially if the CD is a remake/tribute to another artist's work).
Here's a quick summary of how the flash player works (image opens in a new window)
Click on
to access the lyrics. ALL lyrics will open in ONE popup (i.e.: all of the lyrics share the same popup). This way, you won't have a TON of popups open. Besides, you can't read two lyrics at the same time, right? (^^) But if you want to open the lyrics in more than one window, feel free to right-click the links and choose "Open in New Window".
Lastly, to make the pages load faster, the albums have been split into several pages (hence why I alternated/color-coded the links).

+More Info:
This album has a weird name, doesn't it? (o_O) There's too much stuff, with the quotations and the entildes (~). Ugh. >_<;
This is Do As Infinity's 10th anniversary concert, which was held at Budokan on November 29, 2009. Their official anniversary is September 29; however their disbandment anniversary
(i.e., when they split up) was November 2
5. So this concert was held almost exactly on the 5th anniversary of their disbandment.
This new concert was influenced heavily by their "Eternal Flame" album. The cover art
(view a larger cover here!) even features an "eternal flame". This concert is also the first time that "Boku-tachi no 10th Anniversary" was performed live; this is a special song that's only available with the "Do The Musuem" book.
Anyway, this is the CD version
(or "audio rip") of their
DVD of the same name. The audio rip is only available on iTunes
(so the CD version doesn't have an official cover; the picture above is for the DVD release), and was released almost a month before the DVD's release
(you can buy it in non-Japanese iTunes stores, too, like the USA store!). Unfortunately, the iTunes version has a completely different track order. And it's also MUCH shorter; HALF of the tracks are missing. Maybe they'll add the rest of the songs as soon as the DVD gets released?
(There's also no "behind-the-scenes" concert footage included [which you'll only get on the DVD], but that makes sense.)

Eight
(Official Album #8)

+Catalogue #:
AVCD-38139 [CD + DVD], AVCD-38140 [CD Only],

+Release Date: January 19, 2011
+More Info:
"Eight" is, well...their eighth album...and it has eight new tracks! (^^) It's kinda cute how their Shiritori game turned out.
The DVD has a lot of nice goodies this time:
- 3 PVs/music videos ("1/100", "Hand in Hand", "Kimi ga Inai Mirai")
- Behind-the-scenes footage of the "Eternal Flame" tour
- A special documentary called "Do As Infinity LIVE 2010"
Another "nice" fact about the album...is that
it debuted at #2 on the Oricon Charts! (^_^) That's one of their highest positions in a long time!
A third, "nice" thing about this album
(which I didn't like at first) is how "light-hearted" the entire album is. Supposedly, this was done on purpose. Do As Infinity realized how dark and serious a lot of their older lyrics were, and they wanted to use a happier, lighter sound.
It's great that they're trying something different...but my problem is, I wanted them to be innovative with the MUSIC, too. They might have used a different tone with the lyrics, but the music sounds the same. I mean literally, it sounds the exact same. Most of the new songs
are basically rip-offs REALLY remind me of some older songs:
- Baby! Baby! Baby! = Kouzou Kaikaku
- Special = Grateful Journey
- Hand in Hand = Boku-tachi no 10th Anniversary
- WONDERFUL LIFE = Tokyo Biyori (off Van's solo album)
- Boku ga Egaiteta Boku = mixture of "Treasure Pleasure" and "D/N/A"
- 1176-jikan = Piece Of Your Heart
The only original songs I could think of were "Fly me to the freedom"
(which is a great song), and "Dear memories"
(which starts off dull, but gets better by the time you hear the chorus).
I was a bit disappointed in the album --
it's also the first album WITHOUT any bonus tracks OR a title track!! --
but, the album has grown on me. It might not be original or innovative, but the vocals, lyrics and music are very well done, and it's still got that signature "Do As Infinity" style that we all know and love.
