Doushite konna ni koko wa
Kuraku samishii no
Yukue shirenu nagare
Mayoi uruwashiku

Nando mo onaji youni
Yume uku hashi ni kite
Kondo koso
Hontou no owari ga kikoeta
"Sayonara"

Hakanaku chitta iro toridori no
Haritsumeta kokoro sakende
Yaoyorozu no beni chirinuru koi to
Furueru karada wa shizunde
Subete kiete naku nareba ii

Nagaki chigiri musubu
Hitori Saimyou e [2]
Hou-ou hane o hiroge
Ima ni tobidatou

Han'nari irozuku minomo ni
Hageshii kaze ga fuki
Moe yuku
Kizuna wa futari ni karande
Chigireteku

Aradatsu kaze wa kami o midashite
Watashi no kokoro o ubatta
Toki o tomurau
Kane no ne dake ga
Genjitsu ni modosu no naraba
Subete maboroshi ni nareba ii

(La La La La La...
La La La La La...La...)

Hakanaku chitta iro toridori no

Why is it so dark
And lonely here?
A stream flows, lost and grieving,
Not knowing where to go.

I've come to this same bridge
Of floating dreams so many times.
This time though,
I heard the true ending:
"Goodbye".

I want my scattered, many-coloured,
Strained heart to scream...
And these countless crimsons, this dying love
And my shaking body to sink...
And everything to disappear.

I said an eternal oath
To go alone to the Saimyo Temple -- [2]
The phoenix will spread its wings
And take flight now.

A harsh wind blows across
The vibrantly coloured surface of the water --
Burning bonds
Wrap themselves around us
And rip us apart.

The rough wind mussed my hair,
And stole my heart;
If the only thing able to bring me back to reality
Is the sound of a bell
Mourning the passage of time,
Then I want everything to become a vision.

(La La La La La...
La La La La La...La...)

I want my scattered, many-coloured,
Strained heart to scream...
And these countless crimsons, this dying love
And my shaking body to sink...

The rough wind mussed my hair,
And stole my heart;
If the only thing able to bring me back to reality
Is the sound of a bell
Mourning the passage of time,
Then I want everything to become a vision.
Oasis Heart3's Notes:
[1] The song title (in kanji) is actually written as "Koi Hi" (恋妃 -- with "hi" meaning "princess")...but Kayoko was being poetic -- and 'downplaying' the word -- so "hi" is actually read/translated as "otome" ("girl"/"maiden").

[2] Wataru had difficulty with this section and he wasn't sure what "saimyou" was. So I did a little research of my own...

"Saimyou" is the name of a Japanese temple. (^^) I believe this whole verse deals with Japanese traditions, religion, and beliefs...since it also mentions the Pheonix (which is highly revered in Asia). I think the point of this verse is "old culture meets new culture".
