Singles (Page 3)

Please choose a CD single below. New singles are always displayed on the first page.

There are two ways you can sample the songs:

1) HTML: This is the original way I had it set up, where you'll have to manually download and listen to each file. Also, if you hover over the links, you'll see the kanji title of each song.

2) Flash Player: This flash player will let you listen to each sample in REAL TIME. (^^) Occasionally you can choose between different playlists (especially if the CD is a remake/tribute to another artist's work).

Here's a quick summary of how the flash player works (image opens in a new window)

Click on the 'Lyrics' icon to access the lyrics. ALL lyrics will open in ONE popup (i.e.: all of the lyrics share the same popup). This way, you won't have a TON of popups open. Besides, you can't read two lyrics at the same time, right? (^^) But if you want to open the lyrics in more than one window, feel free to right-click the links and choose "Open in New Window".

Lastly, to make the pages load faster, the singles have been split into several pages (hence why I alternated/color-coded the links).

(CD Single #9)

+Catalogue #: AVCD-30244
+Release Date: May 30, 2001

+More Info:
This is their 9th single. (^^) The B-side track, "Tsurezure Naru Mama ni", was written and performed by Ryo. The song features a lot of references/puns to famous rock bands...including the rock band (and Do As Infinity song), "Yesterday & Today".

In fact, during "Tsurezure Naru Mama ni"s instrumental break, you'll hear a harmonica playing part of "Yesterday & Today"s melody. And you'll also hear Van singing the chorus from that song. ^^

Fukai Mori
(CD Single #10)

CD cover
+Produced by: avex trax
+Catalogue #: AVCD-30246
+Release Date: June 27, 2001

+More Info:
This is their 10th single, and probably their most famous song. (^^) "Fukai Mori" was used as the 3rd ending theme to InuYasha (a popular manga series made by an extremely-popular woman named Rumiko Takahashi). Because of the show's worldwide success, Do As Infinity got a larger international audience. They even performed in the USA on a few occasions. =D

Their 3rd album, "Deep Forest", is also named after this song. "Fukai Mori", when translated to English, means "Deep Forest".

(CD Single #11)

CD+DVD/CD cover
+Produced by: avex trax
+Catalogue #: AVCD-30269
+Release Date: September 5, 2001

+More Info:
This is their 11th single. (^^) I don't have much to say about this single, but...doesn't the title track also seem appropriate for InuYasha?

"Boukensha-tachi", when translated to English, means "Adventurers" -- and the main cast of InuYasha is always on an adventure. The song also mentions praying, and one of the show's main characters (Miroku) is a Buddhist monk who's always preying (on women) praying, and cleansing demon-infected areas.

Hi no Ataru Sakamichi
(CD Single #12)

CD+DVD/CD cover
+Produced by: avex trax
+Catalogue #: AVCD-30334
+Release Date: February 27, 2002

+More Info:
This is their 12th single, and it has a bit of an odd history: despite being an absolutely beautiful song (it's a very slow ballad, and Van hits some amazing notes singing it), this is one of 2 singles that were NEVER placed on an official album; the other single is "under the moon"...which, oddly enough, was released right after "Hi no Ataru Sakamichi".

"TAO", their 20th single, was also never placed on an official album...but since the band broke up after "TAO" was released, I don't really think it counts. ^^;
