Singles (Page 4)

Please choose a CD single below. New singles are always displayed on the first page.

There are two ways you can sample the songs:

1) HTML: This is the original way I had it set up, where you'll have to manually download and listen to each file. Also, if you hover over the links, you'll see the kanji title of each song.

2) Flash Player: This flash player will let you listen to each sample in REAL TIME. (^^) Occasionally you can choose between different playlists (especially if the CD is a remake/tribute to another artist's work).

Here's a quick summary of how the flash player works (image opens in a new window)

Click on the 'Lyrics' icon to access the lyrics. ALL lyrics will open in ONE popup (i.e.: all of the lyrics share the same popup). This way, you won't have a TON of popups open. Besides, you can't read two lyrics at the same time, right? (^^) But if you want to open the lyrics in more than one window, feel free to right-click the links and choose "Open in New Window".

Lastly, to make the pages load faster, the singles have been split into several pages (hence why I alternated/color-coded the links).

under the sun / under the moon
(CD Single #13)

CD cover
+Produced by: avex trax
+Catalogue #: AVCD-30359
+Release Date: July 31, 2002

+More Info:
This is their 13th single, and one of their most unique. First, it's their only "double A-side" CD single (which is also called a "dual" CD single or "double" CD single). That means each track is a SEPARATE CD single, so there are NO B-side/bonus tracks.

Second, despite having two A-side tracks, "under the moon" was NEVER placed on an official album. The previous single, "Hi no Ataru Sakamichi", was also never placed on an official album.

"TAO", their 20th single, was also never placed on an official album...but since the band broke up after "TAO" was released, I don't really think it counts. (^^;) And, since they're back together now, "TAO" might be featured on their 7th official album.

Shinjitsu no Uta
(CD Single #14)

CD cover DVD cover
+Produced by: avex trax
+Catalogue #: AVCD-30391 [CD], AVBD-91122 [DVD]
+Release Date: October 30, 2002

+More Info:
This is their 14th single, which was also used as an ending theme on InuYasha. (^^) A separate DVD was also released for this single, and it only one track: the PV/music video for "Shinjitsu no Uta".

As a result of this song being used in InuYasha, "Shinjitsu no Uta" got really popular and is now one of their "signature songs". And just like "Fukai Mori", they later named an album after this single: "Shinjitsu no Uta", when translated to English, means "True Song" (or "Song of Truth").

The second track, "One or Eight", is a bit of a pun. A member of DAIForum (named "Maiku") explains more:

" 'One or Eight' comes from the Japanese saying ,'Ichi ka bachi ka', which means 'Sink or Swim'. 'Ichi' can also mean 'one' in Japanese, and 'hachi/bachi' can also mean 'eight'.

This was a sports cover song, so you can see why it's named that. It's an expression similar to 'do or die'."
