Tributes
Sometimes I-lulu will do tribute (or "cover") songs in honor of another artist. This page will let you know about all these tribute songs. (^^) It will also include tributes that other artists did in honor of I-lulu.
I-lulu's record label, "get over the records" (which is part of Victor Entertainment), also released a series of tribute albums. These albums were in honor of Avril Lavigne, Radiohead, Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton, David Bowie, and Elvis Costello. (How Avril Lavigne got a tribute album, when she's still a pretty new artist, I don't know. o_O)
This page will be very similar to "Tributes/The Highest Form of Flattery" page that's in Ryo Owatari's site. In fact...you can learn a bit more about Eric Clapton (or rather, his old band, Cream) in that same section on Ryo's site. ^^
There are two ways you can sample the songs:
1) HTML: This is the original way I had it set up, where you'll have to manually download and listen to each file. Also,
if you hover over the links, you'll see the kanji title of each song.
2) Flash Player (and Hear all tributes): This flash player will let you listen to each sample in REAL TIME. (^^) Occasionally you can choose between different playlists
(especially if the CD is a remake/tribute to another artist's work).
Here's a quick summary of how the flash player works (image opens in a new window)
Click on
to access the lyrics. ALL lyrics will open in ONE popup (i.e.: all of the lyrics share the same popup). This way, you won't have a TON of popups open. Besides, you can't read two lyrics at the same time, right? (^^) But if you want to open the lyrics in more than one window, feel free to right-click the links and choose "Open in New Window".
Lastly, to make the pages load faster, the tributes have been split into several pages (hence why I alternated/color-coded the links).

1) Trust (Do As Infinity tribute)
Not Available on CD
(Special, free download from Do As Infinity's website)
+More Info:
In 2005, shortly after Do As Infinity broke up, Dai Nagao posted a special song (and a special message) on their official website. Unfortunately, that original page is now gone...but (thanks to The Internet Archive) you can still access it here.
For some reason, Van and Ryo are NOT on this song. Maybe they were already gone when Dai decided to release (or even create) it? Anyway...Dai decided to let another of his musical groups do the song, "in honor" of Do As Infinity. He chose to use I-lulu, who's lead vocalist is Kana Mizushima. (Now that Do As Infinity is back together, there might be an "official" version of this song someday. Who knows? ^_^)
By the way, you can read the translation to the "special message" on this page. =)
