Albums (Page 3)

Please choose an album below. I've numbered all the official albums like this: (#1). Mini-albums are marked like this: (ma-#1) The remaining albums are compilations/remixes of previously released songs. New albums are always displayed on the first page.

There are two ways you can sample the songs:

1) HTML: This is the original way I had it set up, where you'll have to manually download and listen to each file. Also, if you hover over the links, you'll see the kanji title of each song.

2) Flash Player: This flash player will let you listen to each sample in REAL TIME. (^^) Occasionally you can choose between different playlists (especially if the CD is a remake/tribute to another artist's work).

Here's a quick summary of how the flash player works (image opens in a new window)

Click on the 'Lyrics' icon to access the lyrics. ALL lyrics will open in ONE popup (i.e.: all of the lyrics share the same popup). This way, you won't have a TON of popups open. Besides, you can't read two lyrics at the same time, right? (^^) But if you want to open the lyrics in more than one window, feel free to right-click the links and choose "Open in New Window".

Lastly, to make the pages load faster, the albums will be split into several pages (hence why I alternated/color-coded the links).

+More Info:
What nice things can I say about this album? Well...

  1. They made a really cute special, promo site for the album. It's probably the most creative special site they've made so far. (^^) The bottom of the site shows real-time, fan messages from Twitter. The top of the page has "15 doors"; each door is a PV for one of their songs, and a new "door" would open daily until March 2, 2011.

If you click on "Song List" (ソングリスト), and hover over each track, you'll hear a sample of the song. And if you click on the song, you'll see liner notes written by YUKA and Masaki. =D

  2. The album debuted at #8 on the Oricon charts.
  3. I LOVE the intro track; it's so pretty. In fact, it's so pretty that I posted the full intro (and outro) as samples.
  4. They FINALLY put "Destiny" on an official album. It was originally just a "special song" that was only available on iTunes Japan.
  5. If you preordered the album, you'd get one of these cool items:

  6. Pen
    For pre-orders at mu-mo

    Post-it/Sticky Note Set
For pre-orders at other stores (CDJapan, Amazon, etc.)

  7. All three CD versions had bonus goodies:
    • CD + DVD #1: Contains a DVD called "ALL the BEST CLIPS", which has 16 tracks: 12 PVs; 1 documentary ("History of moumoon"); and 3 "behind-the-PV" videos (for "15 Doors", "moonlight", and "Sunshine Girl"). For a full tracklist, read this news article I posted. You can also watch the first 13 clips on their special, promo site.
    • CD + DVD #2: Contains a DVD with 10 songs + a backstage video from their "FULLMOON LIVE SPECIAL 2010 ~harvest moon~" concert. For a full tracklist, read this news article I posted.
    • CD Only: Includes a bonus track, "PINKY RING", which was recorded from their "FULLMOON LIVE SPECIAL 2010 ~harvest moon~" concert. (This song is NOT featured on DVD #2).

Oh, and the album has 4 new songs. That's it. (T__T) I'm also getting tired of "Sunshine Girl" and "Aoi Tsuki..." being placed on every album.

Speaking of "Sunshine Girl", they REALLY want to overkill their success from that song, don't they? Because the title track of this album, "15 Doors", sounds a LOT like "Sunshine Girl ~part 2~". It even has a similar "whistle" sound in it!!!

The 4 new songs (excluding the "Intro" and "Outro") weren't as spectacular as I thought they'd be. "Blue Rain" is kinda nice, but my friend (infinitylight) said it was similar to "Brilliant Days", and I have to agree. "HAPPY UNBIRTHDAY" and "One Step" are also really good songs. As for "15 Doors"...well, I already told you why I don't like this song. xD

I don't know who's in charge of producing moumoon's albums, but they seriously need help or they need to be fired. There aren't that many new songs, and it's weird having songs from 2009 placed on a 2011 album. It was odd seeing "EVERGREEN", "Destiny" and "Hallelujah" on here. I forgot they were never released on an album before...

The producer seems to be following a pattern:

    1. Make 3 new singles
    2. Ignore these singles, and make new songs (on a new album) instead!
    3. Make more singles
    4. Oh crap! We forgot the 3, old singles! Let's add them on an album, quickly!
    5. Repeat steps 1-4

I sure hope they break the pattern soon...and release more, incredible songs in the future. I'm starting to miss the old moumoon.
