Print Lyrics

Pretty woman, walking down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I like to meet
Pretty woman
I don't believe you, you're not the truth
No one could look as good as you

Mercy...

Pretty woman, won't you pardon me
Pretty woman, I couldn't help see
Pretty woman
That you look lovely as can be
Are you lonely just like me

(Meow...) [2]

Pretty woman, stop a while
Pretty woman, talk a while
Pretty woman, give your smile to me
Pretty woman, yeah yeah yeah
Pretty woman, look my way
Pretty woman, say you'll stay with me
'Cause I need you, I'll treat you right
Come to me baby, be mine tonight... [3]

Pretty woman, don't walk on by
Pretty woman, don't make me cry
Pretty woman, don't walk away...hey...

Okay...
If that's the way it must be, okay
I guess I'll go on home, it's late
There'll be tomorrow night, but wait...
What do I see?

Is she walking back to me? [4]

Yeah, she's walking back to me...

Oh, oh, pretty woman

Oasis Heart3's Notes:
[1] I couldn't find an exact arranger for the original song (I always have that problem with American songs. T__T) But I did discover that Sean Altman arranged the vocals on the album, and Fred Foster produced the song/CD (so he's an arranger, at least technically).

As for the "revisions" I made in the song...well, there were some typos. (Ex: someone wrote "trear" instead of "treat", "nigh" instead of "night", etc. >.>)

[2] In the original version, Roy Orbison "meows" here. Van doesn't do that in her version.

[3] Roy Orbison says "come to me baby", but Van sings "come with me baby". I'm starting to wonder if Roy Orbison did two versions of this song, because the lyrics on LyricWiki also said "come with me".

[4] In this line, Van says "She's walking back to me" (but Roy Orbison says "Is she walking back to me?"). I think Van might've just made a mistake, or slurred some words...but considering Note #3, I'm not 100% sure if Roy DID sing "She's walking back to me" in another version of the song. =(
